long story, but basically I found a better cause to work toward that was more in the open, plus honestly I'm a terrible assassin, I'm too flashy

we can, haven't needed to do that, but from what I've been told, it's not fun

right now I'm technically semi-retired, been kinda nice so far, actually

but uh, far as I know, depends on if the death was from natural causes or not, mostly. former gets a full-on rebirth, almost like an incarnation? while the latter sometimes lets them start over. it's weird.

yeah, there's ... a few of us left? I've been a bit out of the loop, admittedly. but considering I'm almost a thousand? I'd say aging normally's not really a thing.

he met me after a job, actually. forget meet cute. meet bloody with a katana.

hunters must really want you, then, with your rarity. aging normally as in year by year. as mortals tend to. some beings have accelerated aging or slower.

that honestly doesn't surprise me in the least. not that I can talk considering my own experiences, whoops ;;

but most hunters aren't stupid enough to try, and some of us do willingly offer blood or feathers for components. it's really more a crapshoot on who's dumb or desperate enough, or if they're on any of our shitlists

my human form stopped aging after a while, true. it's harder to tell in bird form, tho

do you and bas shift together? a pup and bird. i am so charmed by this.

can be used in healing potions, power boosters, fire elemental enhancement... pretty unsurprising things considering what I am.

if you need some, let me know, I'm not scheduled for a molt until a few more years but I can stand to let a couple feathers go missing if you need them.

god, last time that might've happened has literally been decades ago, if not at least a century.

i can brew potions! i can do some spells, depending. all from the swamp witch side. it might be some from the gumiho, i'm not sure.
